1 pkg. (1-1/8 lb.) German chocolate cake mix
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup butter or
margarine, melted
1 cup nuts, chopped

Topping

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, egg, butter and nuts; mix well. Press into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan; set aside. Combine topping ingredients in another bowl and beat until smooth. Carefully spread over batter. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Store in the fridge.
