Author's Comments

Made this for the 4th of July. Delicious! Very refreshing, not too sweet, either. We used to get Sangria from a great little Mexican Cantina on the coast, but I could never find a recipe that was close--this one is. I used Splenda instead of sugar. This is from Everyday Food. You can make this a day ahead (be sure to refrigerate) to let the flavors blend, then add the club soda and ice right before serving. You can use just about any red wine, and if serving immediately, be sure to chill your ingredients so the ice doesn't melt too quickly.
