4 eggs, separated, whites held
3/4 cup milk or
buttermilk
1/2 cup melted butter or
margarine
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
12 oz. sour cream
1-1/2 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. sugar

Instructions

Mix egg yolks with milk, butter, vanilla and sour cream. Beat well then add flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar. Beat mixture well. Beat whites to stiff peaks. Fold together with batter. Bake and serve with whipped cream, strawberries, jam, nuts, powdered sugar, butter, honey, yogurt, chocolate chips, or your choice of toppings.
