Dressing

1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sugar
3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

Salad

2 heads broccoli
1 lb. bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
1 sm. red onion, chopped
2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

Combine dressing ingredients and refrigerate until ready to serve salad.

Toss together broccoli, bacon, onion and cheese. Mix in dressing and serve.

Author's Comments

This is a great salad to take to pot lucks or barbecues because you can prep everything and bag it up seperately and then just toss it all together when you are ready to serve.

Sounds good, but I would add a few raisins and a cup of chopped apple & maybe a few grapes
and maybe a few crushed pecans or almonds

This salad is traditionally served with raisins and without cheese. It has a sweet/sour/salty/savory flavor combination that can't be beat.

I used cranberries instead of raisens and toasted almonds and it came out Great!

I've made this recipe several times without any modifications. It's a keeper!! Great for summer barbeques.
