Granny's Cornbread Dressing

1 pan of southern cornbread (not the Yankee sweet stuff)
2 biscuits or
3 slices of stale white bread
1 lg. carton chicken or
turkey stock
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 onion, chopped fine
2 stalks of celery, chopped fine
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbl. dried sage
1/2 can oysters (optional)


Crumble up the stale cornbread and biscuits or bread into a large bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well.

Bake at 350 degrees for thirty minutes in a greased 9x12 baking pan until the top is brown.
