Dad's Blonde Brownies

Ingredients

1 stick butter, melted
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Frosting

2 tbsp. melted butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. milk (or to desired consitency)

Instructions

Combine ingredients and place in greased 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. After cooled, spread frosting over top equally. Cut into square bars and serve.

Author's Comments

Try adding 1 cup of peanut butter chips and 1/4 cup of Heath brickle bits or 1 cup of broken up Reeses Peanut Butter Cup candy bars for varieties.

Bake for one hour? I don't think so ... I took mine out after 40 minutes and they still were hard as a rock.
