3 lg. baking apples, peeled and sliced
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 cup apple cider
1/2 cup butter or
margarine
1/2 cup walnuts or
raisins
Vanilla ice cream

Instructions

Place apples in a greased 1 quart baking dish. Combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and apple cider; pour over apples. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with nuts or raisins. Bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 45-60 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm over ice cream.
