What this Privacy Policy Covers

This privacy policy covers how Foodgeeks treats personal information that it receives through any of the Foodgeeks Technology LLC network of websites and services, including FoodgeeksWinegeeks, and Tummy, hereafter collectively known as Foodgeeks. Foodgeeks does not collect any information about you personally without your prior acknowledgement.

Information Collection and Use

Foodgeeks collects personal information when you signup up for a Foodgeeks account and when you fill out information about yourself in your user profile. All personal information you submit through the profile section will be published on Foodgeeks.com on your user profile page, except for your birthdate, email address and password.

Foodgeeks automatically receives and records information from your computer and browser, including your IP address, Foodgeeks cookie information, and software and hardware attributes. Foodgeeks uses this information to gain a better understanding of the technological capabilities of its users.

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our Web site. These companies may use aggregated information (not including your name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other Web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. Within Tummy, you may enter your birthdate, meals, meal items, symptoms, exercises, or body measurements and related comments, all of which will remain secure within Tummy and will never be published. You may share this information with a health professional, and you may opt out of sharing this information at any time.

You may download your health data at any time.

You may delete your Foodgeeks account at any time, upon which all data that you've entered will be deleted from the Foodgeeks databases.

Disclosure of Information

Your Foodgeeks account is identical to your Winegeeks, and Tummy accounts. Winegeeks, and Tummy are services run by Foodgeeks, and are owned by Foodgeeks Technology, LLC. The accounts are shared between these services.

Foodgeeks does not rent or sell any of your personal information with other non-affiliated companies. Foodgeeks may disclose or transfer the information upon the completion of a definitive agreement under which Foodgeeks Technology, LLC. is acquired by a third party.

Foodgeeks cooperates with government, law enforcement and emergency health officials to enforce and comply with the law. Foodgeeks may disclose information if required to do so by law, or if such action is necessary to conform to a legal order or comply with a legal process served on Foodgeeks.

Foodgeeks engages in health research and may provide anonymized information to a third party, such as a university, for research purposes. Personally identifiable data will never be shared.

A cookie is a small data file, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web site's server computers and stored on your computer's hard drive.

We use cookies to record current session information, but do not use permanent cookies. You are required to re-login to your Foodgeeks account after a certain period of time has elapsed to protect you against others accidentally accessing your account contents.

Foodgeeks uses third-party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run Foodgeeks.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Payment and Card Information

When you purchase a Tummy subscription, you must use a credit card. Credit card information, such as your name, card number, expiration date and CVV code will be encrypted by and stored with Stripe, a highly-secure, PCI-compliant payment processor. No credit card information is stored by Foodgeeks.

Data Retention

Personal data that you enter into Foodgeeks and Tummy will be stored indefinitely, in case you ever need to find and refer to that data in the future. You may delete any individual data entry that you've entered at any time. You may also delete your account and all data associated with your account at any time.

Links to Other Websites

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over the content or practices of the non-Foodgeeks website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Advertising

Some of our advertisers occasionally serve you cookies as well. We do not have control over cookies placed by advertisers. We may use advertising service vendors to help present advertisements on the website. These vendors may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve you advertisements tailored to interests you have shown by browsing on this and other sites you have visited, to determine whether you have seen a particular advertisement before and to avoid sending you duplicate advertisements.
