Dry Mustard Powder

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix mustard powder and cold water in proportions to make a smooth paste but only enough for current use. Let stand for at least 10 minutes before serving to allow the enzymes to develop.

CHEF COMMENTS

Mustard loses potency if heated therefore the traditional recipe calls for COLD water. <br />

Serve with beef, ham, cheese and sausages.

Only add water if you are giving your children mustard. When using it with beef mix it with red wine; with ham, whisky; add a LITTLE curry powder and mix with beer for any bland food. Water? Dull! February 11, 2009
