8 cloves garlic
1/3 cup olive oil
6 to 8 cups fresh basil leaves
2 tsp. salt
2 lemons, juice of
5 lb. tomatoes, very finely chopped
2 cans (6 oz. each) tomato paste
Combine garlic, olive oil, basil, salt and lemon juice in food processor. Puree until all is well chopped. Set aside in large bowl. Chop tomatoes until close to puree. Add tomato paste; mix together. (It is best to mix paste and some chopped tomatoes in blender). Add both mixtures together and mix well.
