Sliders with Shaved Parmesan
1 recipe scale / convert
3/4 lb. 350 g lean ground beef
1 tsp. 5 mL oregano
1 tsp. 5 mL fresh mint, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. 2 mL ground coriander
2 tsp. 10 mL black pepper
1/2 tsp. 2 mL salt
3/4 cup + 1 cup 175 mL + 250 mL bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. 30 mL canola oil
20 shavings Tre Stelle® Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese
20 fresh mini pita halves, toasted if desired
In a large bowl combine beef, oregano, mint, coriander, black pepper, salt and 3/4 cup bread crumbs; stir only to combine; add beaten egg, stir again,
cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Shape mixture into 20 equal balls and flatten to approximately 1/2” rounds. Dip rounds in remaining
breadcrumbs. Add oil into a large non-stick skillet and heat to medium-high. Cook burgers on each side until cooked through ““ approximately 3
minutes per side; place on pita halves, top with Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese shavings and additional garnish if desired.
Accompaniments: Along with the shaved Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese, we suggest topping with roasted red peppers, cherry tomato slices, shallot
slices, caramelized onions, arugula or sun-dried tomato slivers; or any of your favourite burger garnishes.
