INGREDIENTS

Pastry for double 9-inch crust (unbaked)
2 cups raisins
2 cups water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. white vinegar
1 tbsp. butter

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 425ºF.
In a pot, combine raisins and water.
Boil for about 5 minutes and then add the
brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt. Stir until clear.
Remove from heat and then add vinegar and butter.
Let cool slightly and pour into pastry lined pie pan. Cover with top pastry.
Bake for about 30 minutes or till golden brown.

This is a great recipe. It's as good as my Grandma use to make. October 19, 2010
