Garlic Mashed Potatoes

INGREDIENTS
22 cloves garlic
2 lbs. red new potatoes, cut in 1" pieces (not peeled)
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup unsalted butter
salt & pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Blanch 16 cloves galic in boiling water 3 separate times, 1 minute each time; set aside; mince remaining cloves. Cover potatoes with water in large saucepan; heat to boil; cook over med heat til tender about 12 minutes; drain well. Add milk, butter and all garlic to potatoes. Mash to desired consistency. Season w/salt and pepper.
