Pound Cake

Servings: 1 cake

INGREDIENTS

1/2 c Butter, softened
1 1/3 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
1/2 ts Almond extract
2 c All-purpose flour
1/2 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
1/3 c Dairy sour cream
1 c Raisins

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a 6-cup fluted tube pan. [to make a loaf cake, use a 8-1/2x4-1/2-inch loaf pan. Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes] Combine butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and almond extract; beat until light and fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into butter mixture alternately with sour cream. Stir in raisins. Spoon batter into greased and floured pan. Bake at 325°F in center of oven for about 60-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
