INGREDIENTS

1-3/4 cup flour
1 almonds, ground
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup honey, warmed
1/4 cup sherry

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven 400°F. Combine flour,almonds, baking powder, ginger, and salt and set aside. In a large bowl cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, then add honey and sherry. Mix well. Slowly add dry mixture to creamed mixture, until well blended. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool on cooling rack.
