Fatoush Salad

INGREDIENTS
1 bunch Romaine lettuce
3 lg. red tomatoes
1 lg. red onion
2 cucumbers
4 radishes
2 loaves (sm.) pita or Syrian flat bread.
1 pinch salt
1 pinch black pepper
2 tsp. sumac mild spice
2 fresh lemons
3 tbsp. olive oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Chop all vegetables ingredients into small cubes or squares. Place them into a mixing salad bowl. Cut the pita bread into squares place them on a baking sheet tray. Bake until golden brown in 300°F oven. Set aside to cool. Add pita to the ingredient bowl. Squeeze lemon juice into bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste. Finally add sumac and olive oil; mix gently. Serve immediately.

Healthy choice from a lebanese table.
TIP: Add toasted pita bread only when you are ready to eat in- order to enjoy the crunchy experience.
