Apricot Cookies

INGREDIENTS
2-1/2 cups flour, sifted
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup margarine
2 pkg. (3 oz. each) cream cheese
1/2 cup coconut
1 cup apricot preserves
Frosting:
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup apricot preserves
2 tbsp. butter, softened
INSTRUCTIONS
Sift dry ingredients. Add everything but coconut and apricots. Mix until smooth (will be dry and flakey). Add coconut and apricot preserves. Drop by tsp. on ungreased sheets. Bake at 350°F for 15-18 minutes. Should not brown.
Frosting:
Beat until smooth and ice cooled cookies.
