Mama's Plum Jam

INGREDIENTS
1 lb. plums
1 cup water
3/4 lb. sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
Clean plums. Cook in water until skins are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes. Cool and remove stones. Add sugar, heat slowly until sugar is dissolved, then cook rapidly until thick. Partially cool, stirring occasionally. Pour into sterile jars and seal.
