Grandma P's Famous Chili con Carne

INGREDIENTS

1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cans (28 oz) tomotoes
1 can (28 oz) tomato sauce
2 cups celery, chopped
2 cups fresh mushrooms, chopped
oregano to taste
chili powder to taste
celery salt to taste
garlic salt to taste
1 large can of kidney Beans

INSTRUCTIONS

Fry beef and onion in margarine or oil until browned. Mix with other ingredients (except beans) in large pot. Simmer 1-2 hours. When chili is cooked add beans long enough to heat. Serve.

CHEF COMMENTS

My Grandma P. hated cooking. This chili is the only thing I remember my Grandma P. making and she was proud of it and we loved to eat it. I don't have the details of how much of each spice since she just threw some things in there until it tasted right. Use liberty to find what combinations work for your taste! :) Enjoy!
