Coconut Barfi

Servings:
INGREDIENTS
1 cup coconut, white part grated and ground
2-1/2 cups sugar (mithai special)
6 cups whole milk
A few drops rose essence
Cochineal
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix all the ingredients except colour and essence. Cook on high flame until it thickens. Add colour and essence. Pour onto a greased thali and cut into cubes when cooled. Garnish with blanched almonds and pistachios.
