Toasted Sunflower Seeds

Servings: 1 cup

INGREDIENTS

1 cup sunflower seeds
1 tsp. oil, if desired
1/4 tsp. salt, if desired

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix sunflower seeds with oil only if salt is used. Spread plain or oiled seeds on baking sheet. Bake about 8 minutes or until lightly browned. (Watch carefully, these seeds brown quickly.) Sprinkle oiled seeds with salt while hot.

Calories per tablespoon: About 20 with oil, 15 without oil

my family is obsessed with sunflower seeds... when we travel... which we do a lot... we spend so much money for all of us to have sunflower seeds... this is so much cheaper... :] June 19, 2008
