Taco Layer Dip

INGREDIENTS

2 cans bean dip
3 ripe avacodos
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 bunch onions, chopped
3 med. tomatoes, chopped
2 cups grated cheddar cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

Mash avacodos. Add lemon juice, salt and pepper. Combine sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasoning. These two mixtures can be made the day before serving.

On tray, evenly make these layers: first, bean dip; second, avocado mixture; third, sour cream/taco mixture; fourth, chopped green onions; fifth, chopped tomatoes; sixth, cheese. Serve with tortilla chips.

This is the best damn taco dip ever!! I add garlic to the avocado mix, and before I add the cheese layer I put chopped green/black olives and shredded lettuce on it-just to add a little more flavor!! This recipe is so easy! I usually serve this with the small round tortilla chips. July 20, 2001
