Valentine Sugar Cookies

INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1-1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
2-1/2 cups flour
Red decorators sugar (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add egg and extracts. Stir inflour; mix well. Chill for several hours. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness; cut with a 2-1/2 or 3-inch heart shaped cookie cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheets; sprinkle with red sugar, if desired. Bake at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
