Sloppy Joes for 100

INGREDIENTS

20 lb. ground beef
4 lg. onions, chopped
4 lg. green bell peppers, chopped
4 cups chopped celery
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup spicy brown mustard
4 cups ketchup
2 cans (12 oz.) tomato paste
4 cans (15 oz.) tomato sauce
1 cup vinegar
2/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
100 hamburger buns

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large Dutch oven or pan, brown the beef, onions, peppers and celery in batches until meat is browned. Remove mixture with a slotted spoon to a large roasting pan. Discard fat. Stir together the sugar, mustard, ketchup, tomato paste,tomato sauce, 6 cups water, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Stir into meat mixture. If too thick, add up to 2 cups more water. Cover and simmer for 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve on the buns.
