Toad'n a Hole

INGREDIENTS
1 slice bread
1 egg
Butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Butter each side of bread, make hole in bread about 1-1/2-inches in diameter (about the size of the yolk). Place bread on hot, buttered skillet, crack egg into the hole. Either break yolk or turn to make over easy. Season, Brown, Serve.

My Mamaw used to call this Chick in a Basket. A great way to make to hole is with a drinking glass (use the rim of the glass).
