Peanut Molasses Cookies

Servings: 5 dozen

INGREDIENTS

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, unbeaten
2 tbsp. milk
1 cup chopped prunes

INSTRUCTIONS

Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and soda. Cream together shortening, sugar, molasses, peanut butter and vanilla. Add egg and milk; mix well. Add dry ingredients; stir until blended well. Add prunes. Mix. Drop by spoonfuls on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in in 375°F oven for 10-15 minutes.
