Mississippi Mud Cookies

SERVINGS
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup milk
2 cups sugar
1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa powder
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups oats
INSTRUCTIONS
In saucepan mix together the milk, sugar, butter and cocoa. Boil (rolling) for 1 minute; remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Stir in oats. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Allow to cool (to hasten cooling refrigerate).

my mother made this for my brothers and sisters and myself when we were kids. since my mother has gone to be with the Lord, we have been trying to find this recipe. thanks for bringing back special memories.
