Cow Pies

INGREDIENTS
1 pkg. (12 oz.) milk chocolate chips
1 tbsp. shortening
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup slivered almonds, chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
In a double boiler over simmering water, melt the chocolate chips and shortening, stirring until smooth. Remove from the heat; stir in raisins and almonds. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper. Chill until ready to serve.
CHEF COMMENTS
These were quick and easy to do. I toasted the almonds before using to add moreflavor. I made 12 large cow pies instead of 24 small ones. Great recipe with no baking.
