My Mom's Chocolate Zucchini Bars

Servings: 1 cake

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cups sugar divided
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup margarine
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoonscocoa
2 1/2 cups shredded zucchini
1 cup chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS

Cream together 1 cup sugar and margarine. Add eggs and beat well. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and cocoa. Add sifted ingredients alternately with zucchini to creamed ingredients, mixing well. Put into a greased 9X13 pan. Sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup sugar on top and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
