INGREDIENTS
12 slices white bread, crusts removed
and cut into 3 strips
1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and
and deveined
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon sherry or cooking wine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon corn starch
1 egg, beaten
1 can (8 ounces) water chestnuts, drained
and finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon sesame seed
Oil for deep frying
INSTRUCTIONS
Chop shrimp coarsely. Mix with remaining ingredients. Spread mixture on bread strips and deep fry at 350 degrees until edges of bread begin to brown.
