Jerk Tofu (Vegan)

INGREDIENTS
Seasoning Paste
1/4 Cup red wine
1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
2 Tbs. minced scallion
1 Tbs. vegetable oil
1 Tbsp ground allspice
1 garlic clove, minced
1&1/2 tsp. ground coriander
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 pound firm tofu. Preferrably the refridgerated water pack kind.
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the seasoning paste ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
Drain and cut the tofu into 4 "steaks". Apply the seasoning paste to all sides of the tofu and arrange in a baking dish. Cover and allow to marinate in refridgerator for 8 hours or overnight.
Bake the tofu uncovered in a preheated 350°F oven for 20 minutes.
CHEF COMMENTS
I really like this, but I have been told it is an acquired taste.
