Pecan Chocolate Pie

INGREDIENTS

3/4 cup chopped pecans
3 tablespoons bourbon
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
3/4 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chocolate chips
1 (9-inch) prepared piecrust

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 375°F. Soak pecans in the bourbon. Set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat melted butter, sugar, and eggs until fluffy. Blend in syrup, vanilla, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips until evenly distributed. Pour mixture into pie crust. Sprinkle bourbon-soaked pecans over top of filling. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes. Check at 45 minutes, it may brown quickly.

Now this recipe I use every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I get requests for it throughout the year too. The first bite just melts in your mouth! This pie is so tasteful. Simple and easy to make. I guarantee you will make it again.
