Servings: 1 batch

INGREDIENTS

8 cups of popped popcorn, warm
3 Tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons prepared wasabi
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar, optional

INSTRUCTIONS

Put the popped popcorn in a large bowl. Melt the butter in a coffe cup in the Microwave for 20 seconds or until it melts. Stir in the wasabi until well blended. Drizzle the now warm wasabi butter over the warm popcorn and toss (that's the way I do it) or stir to blend well. Sprinkle with the salt and add the sugar if you like.

CHEF COMMENTS

I love popcorn and was just fooling around at home in the kitchen. We had made popcorn for the kids and had some left over. So I came up with this for my wife and I and we loved it.

OK Tom,
Now you are getting the hang of this Chili Head thing.

The pop corn was fantatic and had a real good blast at the end. I make pop corn about 3 nights a week just for myself. I will keep this recipe and use it alot. I have used just cayenne and chili powder before. But this is a keeper in by book. I have never thought of Wasabi great idea. September 14, 2005
