Servings: 2 servings

INGREDIENTS

1 pound fresh brussels sprouts
1-2 tbsp. olive oil
4-6 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced
1 tsp. dry mustard
salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Soak small wooden skewers in water 30 minutes ahead of time. Trim stem ends of sprouts and cut a small x into the bottom if they are not small (helps the centers cook better). Toss sprouts in a bowl with oil, garlic, mustard, salt and pepper. Skewer them on small wooden skewers, or cook them in a grill pan or wok. Cook them until they test fork tender and are lightly browned. Serve hot. Also good sprinkled with just a bit of parmesan cheese.

CHEF COMMENTS

Brussels sprouts are great on the grill. Makes a nice change from grilled corn or potatoes.

Grilling brussel sprouts is great and you can change the ingredients. I suggest a metal skewer as it helps cook the inside and reduces time on the grill and burning. The skewer keeks it warm to the table. Keep tyrning and basting April 21, 2009
