Servings: 4 servings

INGREDIENTS

2 large racks of baby back ribs
Salt and pepper
Barbecue Sauce (Your favorite bottled or homemade)

INSTRUCTIONS

Pre-heat oven to 350°F. Place ribs in a shallow roasting pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for approximately 30 minutes, until medium browned. Remove from oven and baste with barbecue sauce.

Lower the temperature to 250°F. Tightly seal the roasting pan with a foil tent, making sure not to put any holes in the foil. Return the ribs to the oven for 8 to 10 hours. When the ribs are done, they will come off the bone easily with a fork.

When done, remove from oven, baste lightly with sauce, and reseal the foil and let the ribs rest for 20 minutes or so while you prepare the rest of the meal.

Serve warm with additional barbecue sauce on the side. They’ll be very tender and delicious.

CHEF COMMENTS

I watched them do this on a Food Channel show, but they used maple syrup instead of barbecue sauce.

We like barbecue, so we tried it this way, and it was great.

* Use your favorite barbecue sauce, whether bottled or homemade.
