Servings: 2 servings

INGREDIENTS

1lb fillet steak,
1/2lb field mushrooms,
1 heaped teaspoon cracked steak pepper,
1/4 teaspoon sea salt,
1 level teaspoon dried oragano,
2 medium spanish onions,
3/4 bottle dry white wine,
1/2-1pint fresh double cream, according to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Fry steak strips, mushrooms, onions and spices in butter for 5 minutes. Add wine and simmer for 10 minutes. Add fresh cream and bring to a simmer. Serve with fresh crusty bread.

CHEF COMMENTS

It is best if you use a whole french bread loaf for 2 people, roughly broken up and placed into a nice basket with a napkin. Great as an anniversary meal, especially with candles and wine.
