Cream Cheese Cookies

Servings: 1 dozen

INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup butter or margirine
1 package (large one) cream cheese; soft
1 egg yolk
1/4 tsp.vanilla
1 package yellow cake mix

INSTRUCTIONS

Cream butter and cheese together in bowl. Blend in egg yolk and vanilla. Add dry cake mix 1/3 at a time. If using mixer add last 1/3 by hand. Mixture will be very dry, if needed you may add a touch of water to it to help mix, but it is suppose to be dry. Cover and chill for 30 mins. Heat oven to 375°F. Drop by level spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool slightly before removing from sheets.

These are soft cookies. And they are very rich so go slow, because they are very hard to resist.

OMG !! It's like sweet and savory. You can taste the cream cheese, the cake mix adds a beautiful texture and flavor. I'm adding this to my cookie recipes forever. December 23, 2008
