Sausage 'n' Grits Casserole

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup grits (not instant)
2 cups water
1/2 tsp. salt
4 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp. thyme
2 lb. sausage, cooked and drained

INSTRUCTIONS

Cook grits in a large pan with water and salt. Fold in cheese and mix well. Add eggs, milk, thyme and sausage. Pour into greased casserole. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 1 hour. Can be prepared the night before.
