Chop Suey

INGREDIENTS

3-4 pork steaks(trimmed)
1 can sliced water chestnuts 1 large can LaChoy chinese vegetables
1 can mushrooms(optional)
1 large onion 1 stalk celery(sliced)
2-3 cloves garlic(or to taste)
2-3 T brown sugar
3-4 T Bead Molasses
3-4 T Soy Sauce( or to taste)
Black Pepper 1-2T Oil

INSTRUCTIONS

Trim fat from meat, and slice in long, thin strips, add to the saute mixture. Saute onion, garlic, celery in oil. Add in ALL the water from the cans of vegetables. Add ALL the spices. Simmer for about 1 hour, until meat is soft. Add in the cans of vegetables when the meat is tender;heat all together. May thicken with a cornstarch and water mixture.

CHEF COMMENTS

To make it a bit spicy, you may add a red pepper, or red pepper flakes to taste.

Serve over a bed of rice.

Tastes good with GARLIC BREAD.
