Chocolate Chip Pie

INGREDIENTS

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 eggs, beaten
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and light brown sugar in a medium bowl. Add butter, eggs, and vanilla; stir well. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts. Spoon into a greased 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 350°F for 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

CHEF COMMENTS

Wonderful with vanilla or butter pecan ice cream.
