Chocolate Cherry Cake

INGREDIENTS

1 pkg. (18 oz.) Devil's food cake mix
1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 cup milk
6 oz. semisweet chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix first 4 ingredients by hand with spatula until well-blended. Turn into greased, floured 9x13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350°F 25-30 minutes, or until cake tests done. Let cool and cut intosquares before adding icing.

To make icing, combine sugar, butter and milk in saucepan. Bring toa boil, stirring constantly, and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat andadd chocolate chips. Stir until melted. Pour over cake and spread.
