Applesauce Cocoa Cookies

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup vegetable shortening, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar replacement
1 egg, beaten
2 cups cake flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup water
INSTRUCTIONS
Cream together shortening and sugar replacement. Add egg and blend well. Sift all dry ingredients together and add alternately with applesauce and water to creamed mixture. Be sure to add flour first and last. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
