INGREDIENTS

1 lb. ground beef, crumbled
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
1/3 cup seasoned rice vinegar (I love Nakano brand, it's my favorite)
1 can (14 oz.) stewed tomatoes with mexican seasonings
4 hamburger buns, toasted

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat a 10-inch skillet over medium/high heat. Add beef, chili powder, bell pepper, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Brown meat; drain fat. Stir in seasoned rice vinegar; cook until thickened, about 8 minutes. Spoon mixture onto buns and serve immediately.

CHEF COMMENTS

This recipe was passed on to me. I love it!!!

P.S. I found Nakano seasoned rice vinegar in the vinegar section, sometimes it's hard to find. It can be used with lots of recipes.

I halved it for two; worked out great. My husband thought it was a little too "hot" but I really liked it! (I'll adjust the seasonings next time so it's not as hot.) February 1, 2002
