We now have a soup bar at the diner. We have to have eight kinds of soup every day and can only run the same soup for two days.
I made Einar's Hot & Sour Soup with Ginger it was a big hit with the healthy bunch after the holidays. I tried it my self twice and loved it! Some of the regulars have asked a few times when are you going to make the Hot & Sour again? I have also passed the recipe to a few people to make at home. January 6, 2008

Einar, I have made many of your recipes so far and this one has just got to be one of the best one's that you have on this web-site.

With the right sides and a very good bottle of wine this made my wife's Birthday something that she will never forget!

They were easy to make and real good to eat. I added some chopped cooked bacon before I served them. Oyster's are not that cheap to buy up here but this recipe was well worth paying the price for. September 4, 2005

I ran this as a special at work on Saturday morning and sold a lot of them. I made one for myself and tried to sit down and eat it, but the staff got their hands on it and ate it all before me. Well I have to hand it to you Einar, this is one of the best recipes for prime rib roast that I have had. When I go out to eat I always look for or try to have prime rib. Nothing compares to this. Ryan, I made these to go with my our (Down Home South Night) at the diner last night. They were great and the same way that my mother makes them. But she adds a little Texas Pete's hot sauce to them and that gives them a little bite. And does use the same for sweet potatoe pie. December 18, 2004

OK Einar, Now you went and did it! These Hush Puppies taste just like the ones that my mother use to make. Down south we use to serve them with fried fish and shrimp.
