Ah, a taste of home. Cincinnati-style chili is one of those peculiar recipes that one can rarely find outside of southern Ohio. This recipe is a great example of Cincinnati chili! I replaced the ketchup with 1 tbsp. tomato sauce and an extra 1 tsp. honey (since ketchup is really only a sweetened condensed tomato sauce). Will definitely call this recipe a keeper. 1 week ago

I recognize this from the Julia Child cookbook. Made it a couple years back it and it was outstanding! October 21, 2009

You may either discard the egg yolks, or save them to use in another recipe, such as a Caesar salad dressing. November 28, 2008

Foodgeeks automatically converts all ingredients to U.S. measurements by default. This recipe in particular is in metric measurements. If you re-convert the recipe to metric you will see the proper measurements. February 18, 2008

Johann ain't fibbing. The pepper vodka does make a beautiful Bloody Mary. November 5, 2006

A great, simple cucumber salad. I loved the touch the paprika gave (a nice little spicy kick!). September 14, 2006

Oops! I meant 3/4 cup vodka. I'll edit the recipe to make sure it's right. Thanks for pointing that out... April 2, 2006

These were loved by all who tried them. I made two changes to the recipe -- I chopped two chocolate bars up and used those instead of the chocolate chips, and I baked the cookies for 10 minutes at 350°F. February 15, 2006

Excellent flavors. The Sherry was a phenomenal addition, but my favorite part of it was the orange zest. I used the zest of a blood orange. I'll buy another bottle of PX Sherry just to make this again. February 15, 2006

That is a good question. I've never heard of atomb cheese and cannot find any information about it around the Internet. And what's basket cheese?

Most of the time I've seen this recipe it calls for ricotta, mozzarella and romano. Maybe you could use those instead? February 13, 2006

Delicious. I also stuffed a halved lemon inside the chicken, and it turned out super juicy. A definite keeper. December 12, 2005

Einar, this was absolutely wonderful. I ate so much fondue that I felt as round as a bowling ball. I just couldn't stop. Heavenly. November 9, 2005

Really tasty. I didn't have cornflakes, so instead I just increased the amount of flour to 2-1/2 cups. And I used fresh cranberries instead of dried cranberries. The orange flavor of the bread really came out. Nancy's right, this is a great breakfast bread. October 22, 2005

Scrumptious and about the easiest darned thing to make! My family is from Ohio and no one had heard of salt potatoes before. But my grandmother said she would make this a regular dish at family gatherings. Next time I'll try the garlic recommendation -- that sounds fun! September 5, 2005
