About Foodgeeks

Foodgeeks was founded in 1999 by Ryan Snyder after he grew tired of flipping through cookbooks looking for recipes. Shortly after he saw the first internet microwave prototype from NCR, he decided it was time to put the site into action.

The site has gone through a number of changes over the years, including redesigns in 2000, 2004 and 2009. Sunny Brown came onboard in 2004 to help create Winegeeks, which also saw a redesign in 2007.

The most significant changes have come in 2009, when Foodgeeks was rebranded and relaunched. Foodgeeks embraced growing technological trends such as activity streams and badges. More changes will be coming very soon - and we're really excited about them!
